Florence Maher is a Rotary Peace Fellow and a Master’s degree candidate in Public Policy and Social Research–Peace Studies.
She graduated summa cum laude from Howard University in Washington, DC in 2009 with bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science, and was awarded a Fulbright research grant for Germany to examine community-building on the Polish border.
After non-degree studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, she joined the U.S. Department of State in 2011 as a career member of the Foreign Service.
Her assignments took her to Mexico, Italy, Honduras, and Washington, DC. Her graduate thesis focuses on multistakeholder policy initiatives in business and human rights.
